Odisha seeks special category status

The Odisha Assembly on Thursday unanimously adopted a resolution requesting the Centre to award the special category status to the State and provide additional grants and fiscal incentives for development. This was for the second time (first time in 1977) that a unanimous resolution seeking special category status has been adopted in Odisha Assembly.

Nikhil Kumar sworn in as Governor of Kerala

Former Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar was today sworn in as the 20th Governor of Kerala at the Raj Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram. Kerala Chief Justice Manjula Chellur administered the oath of office to Mr. Kumar.

Arunachal in pact with NSDL for adoption of National Pension Scheme

Arunachal Pradesh has entered into an agreement with National Securities Depository Ltd (NSDL), authorising it to work as a Central Record Keeping Agency (CRA) for adoption of the National Pension System (NPS). NPS is an initiative of the Centre and Arunachal Pradesh is the 26th State to adopt it.
